Randy Abate lives and trains in Orlando, FL. He competes actively in road races ranging from the 5K to the marathon throughout the state. He is a Professor of Law and Director of the Center for International Law and Justice at Florida A&M College of Law in Orlando, FL. He teaches and writes in the areas of environmental law, international law, ocean and coastal law, animal law, and constitutional law. He lives with his wife, Nigara. His son, Alek, attends Dartmouth College and is a member of the school’s lightweight crew team. His daughter, Tania, is a teacher and competitive tennis player in the Washington, DC area.
