Randy Abate lives and trains in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. He competes activitely in road races ranging from the 5k to the marathon in the Jacksonville, FL area. He is an associate professor at Florida A & M College of Law in Orlando, FL where he teaches and writes in the areas of environmental law, international and comparative law, and constitutional law. He lives with his wife, Nigara, and his son, Alek, who attends Nease High School and is a member of the school’s cross country team. His daughter, Tania, an avid competitive tennis player, is a paralegal in Cherry Hill, NJ and visits Florida often enough to be considered an honorary Florida resident.
